TOUR Championship announces partnership with Uber

Fans can relax in the Arby’s Rideshare Lounge driven by Uber

ATLANTA – As the top 30 players in the world head to East Lake Golf Club, it couldn’t be easier for fans to get in on the action. This year, the TOUR Championship has joined forces with Uber to offer fans easy access to safe rides throughout the tournament. With Uber, fans will enjoy an exclusive way to access the tournament grounds – the Uber Gate – when the world’s best golfers return to Atlanta to compete in the FedExCup finale event from September 20-24, 2017.

“We’re very excited to partner with Uber and provide fans easy access to this year’s TOUR Championship,” said TOUR Championship Executive Director Tom Clark. “The Uber Gate and new Arby’s rideshare lounge driven by Uber allows fans to arrive safely and be dropped right in the heart of the back nine.”

The Uber Gate located just paces away from the 13th fairway and near the 17th green and 18th tee, provides Uber riders with quick and convenient access to all of the back-nine drama. Fans will also get to experience the new Arby’s rideshare lounge driven by Uber complete with concessions, comfortable seating and charging stations. The new elevated partnership will make taking Uber to the TOUR Championship the way to arrive in style, with support from Arby’s, the Official Restaurant of the PGA TOUR.

"Leave the driving to the pros at this year’s TOUR Championship – both off the tee and on the road,” said Arathi Mehrotra, Uber Southeast General Manager. “Uber is excited to partner with the TOUR Championship to make getting a ride to and from the tournament more convenient than ever before, with direct access to the grounds at the Uber Gate and amenities at the Arby’s rideshare lounge."
