TOUR Championship to provide free, public WiFi at East Lake Golf Club

Governor’s Office of Highway Safety in Georgia to sponsor fan WiFi access

ATLANTA – For the first time in tournament history, complimentary public WiFi will be available on site at East Lake Golf Club during the 2019 TOUR Championship, tournament officials announced today. In partnership with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety in Georgia, tournament attendees will be able to stay connected through the duration of their visit to East Lake Golf Club thanks to 16 locations on site where WiFi is available at no charge.

Next week, the TOUR Championship will return to historic East Lake Golf Club from Aug. 21-25, when the top 30 players from the FedExCup standings will vie for the FedExCup title at the PGA TOUR’s season-ending event.

“Staying connected is certainly a priority for fans when attending sporting events nowadays, so we wanted to provide that level of access to our fans while they watch the best players in the world at East Lake,” said TOUR Championship Executive Director Allison Fillmore. “From those who are eager to chronicle their experience on social media to those who need to check e-mails or FaceTime a loved one, we hope this service will further enhance the overall experience for our fans.”

Free WiFi will be available in key fan zones and corporate hospitality venues across the grounds at East Lake Golf Club to enhance the overall fan experience through better connectivity. General Spectator/Public WiFi locations are included below:

As fans access their complimentary WiFi or exit the course after a memorable day, they will be given a friendly reminder from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety in Georgia to always buckle up and drive home safely.
