ATLANTA – With his come-from-behind victory at the Masters for his fourth PGA TOUR title in nine starts in 2023, Jon Rahm earned 600 FedExCup points to increase his lead in the FedExCup standings to 787 points over defending FedExCup champion Scottie Scheffler. World No. 1 Rahm, who reclaimed the top position in the Official World Golf Ranking with his victory at Augusta National Golf Club, will make his seventh consecutive trip to the TOUR Championship, August 23-27, as he seeks his first-ever FedExCup title.

The TOUR Championship is the culmination of the PGA TOUR season and the FedExCup Playoffs where the TOUR’s top 30 global stars compete for the FedExCup and an $18 million bonus.

Rahm opened the 2023 portion of the season with a win at the Sentry Tournament of Champions on Maui and added a second victory in his next start at The American Express. Following top-10 finishes at the Farmers Insurance Open (T7) and WM Phoenix Open (3rd), Rahm found the winner’s circle again, collecting the title at The Genesis Invitational for his third win in five starts.

The fourth Spaniard to win the Masters, Rahm’s four-stroke victory came in his seventh career appearance, having finished inside the top 10 on four occasions entering the week.

At the TOUR Championship, Rahm is coming off a T15 finish in 2022 after earning one victory during the 2021-22 season (Mexico Open at Vidanta). In six previous starts at East Lake Golf Club, Rahm has two career top-five finishes in the season-long race, including a runner-up to Patrick Cantlay in 2021.
