TOUR Championship to debut The ATL Grove featuring Farm Burger, Meiomi Wines on 6th green

Atlanta’s premier PGA TOUR event adds sustainable burger restaurant to list of local partners

ATLANTA – The TOUR Championship is adding another local restaurant to its menu of food partners with the addition of Decatur-based Farm Burger at the tournament’s newest fan experience, The ATL Grove.

Situated near the 6th green at Atlanta’s historic East Lake Golf Club, The ATL Grove will offer signature and specialty burgers from the sustainable restaurant alongside Meiomi Wine pairings in a shaded area, just steps from picturesque views of the Atlanta skyline. The TOUR Championship, the crowning event of the FedExCup Playoffs and PGA TOUR season, returns to Atlanta August 23-27, as the world’s top golfers prepare to battle for the season title and FedExCup trophy.

Annually, the TOUR Championship puts the best in Atlanta’s food scene on display providing an array of local options to spectators. According to Alex Urban, executive director of the TOUR Championship, The ATL Grove is an extension of that.

“Each year, we look for new ways to celebrate the diversity of Atlanta’s restaurants and create an experience for fans that is unique to this city,” Urban said. “The 6th hole is not only steps from the best views of the Atlanta skyline on the course but will now be accompanied by a locally-loved restaurant that has been in our backyard for years. We’re thrilled to bring Farm Burger and Meiomi Wines together at The ATL Grove during this year’s tournament.”

Founded in 2010, Farm Burger is a better burger restaurant group committed to serving 100% grassfed, grass-finished beef burgers. Founded in Atlanta by farmer and rancher Jason Mann and restaurateur George Frangos, Farm Burger aims to bring communities together through creative menus and locally-sourced ingredients in its locations across the southeast.

Those who visit The ATL Grove can expect to sample the restaurant’s signature No. 1 Farm Burger made with grassfed beef, aged white cheddar, caramelized onion, and FB sauce. Also on the menu will be the No. 4 Chicken Burger, made with a chicken patty that’s topped with gouda, kale slaw, crispy onions and sherry date BBQ sauce. In addition, the restaurant has created a specialty burger just for the tournament dubbed The Grove Burger, made with a 50-50 bacon grassfed patty blended with jalapeño and sweet white onion, then topped with cheddar and a summer pickle relish. Flights of sliders paired with Meiomi wine samplings and sangria will also be available.

“The TOUR Championship makes our city buzz with excitement every year and we couldn’t be more excited to be part of that in an official capacity,” said George Frangos, co-founder of Farm Burger. “We’re eager to serve local fans and visitors alike at the tournament to give them a taste of what our regional farm partners have to offer.”
